Ngorongoro
Leave the Serengeti and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch on the floor. After the crater, drive back to Arusha for the night.

Day 7: Fly to Zanzibar — Stone Town & Prison Island
Zanzibar
Morning flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, a guided Stone Town tour through the old streets and markets, followed by a boat to Prison Island and its giant tortoises.

Day 8: Nakupenda, spice farm and move to the coast
Zanzibar
A boat trip to Nakupenda sandbank with a seafood lunch, then a spice farm visit. In the evening, transfer to your beach hotel in Paje or Nungwi.

Day 9: Tortoise aquarium, snorkelling and sandbank picnic
Zanzibar
Visit the tortoise aquarium, then out to the reef for snorkelling and a picnic on a sandbank.

Day 10: Half day free, evening dolphin tour

A free half day on the beach, then an afternoon dolphin tour with a chance to swim alongside them.

Day 11: Jozani Forest and water sports

Morning in Jozani Forest with the red colobus monkeys, then water sports back at the coast — jet ski, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your flight home.

When is the best time for this route?
June to October is ideal for both halves of this trip: dry, clear safari days and settled beach weather on Zanzibar. December to February is also a lovely, warm window. April and May bring the long rains to the parks and the coast.
What vehicle will we use?
A private 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof, a fridge and charging ports, driven by your own professional guide. The vehicle is yours for the whole safari, so you can stop for as long as you like.
Can we change the days or the beach time?
Yes. Every day can be re-paced, upgraded or swapped, and the Zanzibar part can be made shorter or longer. Tell us your dates and we will redraw the route for you.
Is it suitable for children?
