Tanzania Lioness Adventure is a locally owned safari company based in Tanzania. We are not an agency booking from a distance — our office, our guides and our families are here.

Our team is made up of experienced local guides who know the country intimately: the parks, the seasons, the roads that turn to mud in April, and the quiet corners most itineraries never reach.

That closeness is the whole point. When we recommend a camp or a route, it is because we have slept there and driven it ourselves.

We offer private safaris, family safaris, honeymoon journeys and small group tours. What we do not do is put you in a convoy with strangers unless that is what you have asked for.

Every one of these formats is customizable. The vehicle, the pace, the camps and the days are all yours to shape.

Every safari we plan is tailor-made. There is no fixed catalogue to squeeze yourself into.

Guests choose their destinations, the number of days, the accommodation level and the activities that fill them — from balloon flights to coffee farms to long, slow afternoons doing nothing at all.

We build the shape, you adjust it until it reads like your trip.

Your safari includes carefully selected accommodation, all park fees, private transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle, an experienced professional guide, meals as outlined in your itinerary, and unforgettable wildlife experiences from start to finish.

International flights are not included in our safari prices unless you specifically ask us to arrange them.

Domestic flights — the Serengeti airstrips, the hop to Zanzibar — can be arranged for you and folded into the itinerary.

If you would like us to handle the whole journey door to door, just say so when we start planning.

Tanzania is a year-round destination. There is no month without something worth travelling for.

The dry season, June to October, is the strongest window for wildlife viewing: the grass is short, the water sources are few and the animals gather. The green season, November to May, brings lush landscapes, dramatic skies and far fewer vehicles.

Migration timing depends entirely on where the herds are, so we route your camps around your travel month rather than the other way around.

With experienced local guides, well-planned itineraries, and trusted accommodations, you can relax and enjoy every moment of your adventure with confidence.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every guest.

Your policy should cover medical treatment, trip cancellation, emergency evacuation and your personal belongings.

It is a small cost against a long journey, and it lets everyone relax into the trip.

Bring comfortable, neutral-colored clothing, sturdy walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and your camera. Our safari vehicles are equipped with binoculars, so you can enjoy close-up views of Tanzania's incredible wildlife without bringing your own.

We run Kilimanjaro climbs on multiple routes, including Marangu, Machame and Lemosho.

Each is led by professional mountain crews who work the mountain year-round and are equipped, insured and properly paid.

Which route suits you depends on your fitness, your days available and how much acclimatisation you want built into the climb — we will talk it through before you commit.

Our guides work in English, Swahili, German, Chinese, Spanish and Italian.

Other languages can be arranged upon request, given enough notice before your travel dates.

Being understood in your own language changes the whole feel of a safari, so tell us early and we will match you with the right guide.

A Zanzibar beach extension can be added before or after your safari.

Most travellers choose to finish there: dusty plains first, then warm water, spice farms and Stone Town to slow everything down.

We handle the connecting flights, the transfers and the luggage limits so the change of pace is effortless.
