8 days · Uhuru Peak · 5,895m
Lemosho Route
Lemosho begins in rainforest on the quiet western side and crosses the Shira Plateau before joining the southern circuit. Eight days gives your body two proper acclimatisation gains and turns the summit night from a gamble into a walk.
Day by day
Onto the Shira Plateau — the first big open views of the summit.
Shira 2, with an afternoon acclimatisation walk to higher ground.
Lava Tower at 4,600m, then down to Barranco to sleep low.
The Barranco Wall and a short day to Karanga — deliberately easy.
Karanga to Barafu base camp. Early dinner, early bed.
Midnight start, Stella Point at sunrise, Uhuru Peak, descend to Millennium.
Down through the forest to Mweka gate and back to Arusha.
